eSIM support can vary by exact model, sales region and carrier-lock status. A brand name alone never proves compatibility.

Only selected cellular models support eSIM. Wi-Fi-only models cannot install a mobile plan.
Confirm that the device has both a cellular modem and eSIM support, not Wi-Fi alone.
Wearable eSIM support can depend on the paired phone, market and manufacturer policy.
Before you pay
An EID identifies an eSIM-capable device. Finding it is a strong sign that the device supports eSIM; if it is missing, confirm the exact model and sales region with the manufacturer.
Scroll down and look for EID. On the same screen, check Carrier Lock; “No SIM restrictions” confirms the iPhone is unlocked.
The path varies by manufacturer; look for EID or Add eSIM. Carrier-lock status must still be confirmed separately with the original carrier.
EID is shownThe device has eSIM capability; continue by checking carrier lock and the exact model.
No EID is shownThe device may not support eSIM, or the menu path may differ; confirm with the manufacturer before paying.
*#06# Some phones show EID with this dial code, but it is not supported by every brand, model or regional variant. A code that does not respond is not enough to prove incompatibility.
Update the device, check again, then confirm the exact model and lock status with the manufacturer or original carrier before choosing a plan.
